What is a Bio Blitz

A Bio Blitz is a race to record as many wildlife species as possible in 24 hours using observation and digital photography.

We are looking for 150 volunteers to take part in BioBlitz, a race to discover as many species as possible in 24 hours. Wildlife experts will be on hand to help volunteers survey and identify insects, bats, badgers, birds and pond life. The results will be recorded on a website which forms the largest record of Britain’s rich variety of wildlife.

Grounds of Glastonbury Abbey

The event is supported by the Open University and the Natural History Museum and is open to anyone interested in wildlife and the Abbey. Families are welcome.
