Langport Events Group

Langport Events Group started over 8 years ago by a group of local residents who wanted the community to come together at Christmas and enjoy the festivities.

To achieve this aim they set about organising events throughout the year to raise money, these include car boot sales, dog shows, band concerts, music picnics in the Town Garden in Langport, and a Christmas Dance. The Christmas fair in Langport has gone from strength to strength and last year there were many stalls, choirs, bands, dancing, Father Christmas, lighting, Christmas trees and in the evening a hog roast, mulled wine and a fantastic firework display.

Due to Langport Event Group's success at raising money, left over funds are donated to local charities and good causes, the latest being a £250 donation towards a wall mounted TV in Ridgway Hall for the youngsters.
