Glastonbury get your Greenfingers ready!

The program has been published for this years Harvest Show in Glastonbury. Inside are details of all the classes in which you can enter your home grown vegetables, fruits and flowers, as well as home-made bread, cakes and preserves.

The Harvest Show is now in its sixth year at the Town Hall in Glastonbury. The day is a fantastic community event, bringing together young and old to celebrate nourishing, sustainable, local food. The Show will be taking place at the Town Hall on Saturday 15th September. Public entry is from 12.30pm, with competition entries received from 8:45am.

Children are invited to let their imaginations run wild and enter the coolest fruit and vegetable creature they can create. There will be the traditional councillors challenge as well as a 'Cafe Cook-Off' for local cafes in Glastonbury to submit their local and seasonal signature dish. All show entries will be measured on their edible uses, not supermarket perfection.

"The day is for everyone," says local gardener and organiser Caroline Lewis, "So the time is now to get in your garden and get growing and feel inspired by the wonderful celebration of local food taking place at the Harvest Show".
